1. Make your search specific
Choose a title you can recognize in a job description. Try related terms from our role guides, then add a city or state. A broad term such as “work” is less useful than “warehouse associate” or “customer service.”
2. Understand the work
Review common tasks and requirements before focusing on a job title. Decide what schedule, commute, work environment, and training you can realistically manage.
3. Compare a few sources
Use the platform guide to find complementary sources. Check both the useful features and the limitations. Our links currently open official public websites; they are not individual vacancy links.
4. Apply at the original destination
On the platform, search with your chosen title and location. Read the full listing, verify the employer, and follow the stated application process. Keep a record of where you applied and avoid sending confidential information until you understand who receives it.
