We hope you'll consider joining our team.Position SummaryAt this level, the associate can perform their job duties independently and operate per standard work. The associate can perform some basic process changeovers and troubleshooting with some guidance or help from a trainer or supervisor. They can recognize and solve routine problems.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo assemble and package products and operate assembly equipment. The associate must be customer service oriented by taking proactive approaches to the job. The associate will support Swagelok's operating plan along with the Swagelok mission, vision and values.Must efficiently perform all learner level job functionsOperate designated assembly/packaging equipmentPerforms job functions independently or with minimal assistance from the trainerAssemble components into complete or partial products according to standard workPerform complex valve assemblySingle valve assembly and testingBegin training on multiple valve assembly and testingDemonstrates capability of routine / minor set-up on basic equipmentConduct simple troubleshooting on equipment and testsVerify trace ID information of all materials used for each jobMust understand and follow proper part handling proceduresMust understand and follow Swagelok documentation necessary to perform job functionsRecognize non-conformances and inform supervisor, team coordinator or set-upDemonstrates product knowledge (basic part numbers, components, materials, and configurations) within the scope of their job family detailUnderstands products, processes, and procedures in order to perform job functions to established standards and reduce the risk of quality escapementsAble to answer questions posed on independent assembler skillsPerform daily equipment maintenance and clean upComplete daily documentation (tally sheet, cell board production)Perform in-process inspection (visual and gaging) during assemblyTroubleshooting to work through failures during final assembly and testingTrain on new production order (NPO) requests from planning when failures occur during final assembly testingPerform particle testing and classification in accordance with ISO 14644-1 during assembly and test for SC-01 productConduct multiple product functionality tests (i.e. shell, shutoff, flow, and/or stroke) during final assembly for each product with minimal oversiteMaintain safety and housekeeping standards in areaPlan and prioritize daily ordersPerform job related administrative tasks using SAPRecommend process improvementsMaintain a balanced workload during and between the shiftsFollow daily equipment checklist (standard work)Education and/or Work Experience RequirementsRequired:High school diploma or GEDAssembly experience preferred or related job aptitude (e.g. ability to follow basic instructions)Able to recognize functional and cosmetic defectsResponsible for the assembly, testing, and packaging of productRequires the use of assembly equipment and standard workAble to navigate computer to access SAP, documents, qualification report etc.Preferred:
