Venture Community Services offers an excellent benefits package, values work-life balance and promotes a culture of inclusion and equity where employees' opinions matter.Schedule: Mon 9a-3p, Tue 8a-2p, Wed 9a-3p, Thu 9a-3p, Fri 9a-3pFull-time: 30 hoursPay: $17.50-$19 per hour – Paid training provided by Venture!Sign on Bonus: $1000 for Full Time and $500 for Part Time EmployeesThe Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for advocating and supporting adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can. Their support needs include, but are not limited to, household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, etc…so that they may always look and feel their best. The DSP may be asked to assist them to their medical appointments, banking, assist them to become active members of their community, attend outings, administer medications, follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and goals, and to follow medical guidelines that are in place.DSP workers are provided paid New Employee Orientation, paid CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP), as well as program and person specific training at the individuals' home.
