Roofer - Contract PositionTacheny Exteriors is a fourth-generation, family-owned home remodeling company specializing in roofing, siding, gutters, windows & doors, soffit & fascia, and decks. With decades of excellence behind us and a growth-focused future ahead, we take pride in craftsmanship, professionalism, and creating a positive experience for our customers and team members alike.We are looking for 1099 subcontractor crew members who are motivated, skilled, and reliable individuals who want to grow with a company that values quality, teamwork, and long-term success.Key Responsibilities:Execute high-quality exterior roofing projects, including installations, replacements, and repairs of residential and/or commercial roofing systems.Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards.Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience as a roofer or in a similar roofing role.Strong knowledge of roofing materials and installation techniques (shingles, flat roofing, flashing, underlayment, etc.).Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Required Skills/Abilities:3+ years of experience in roofing or exterior construction is required.Basic knowledge of roofing hand tools and power tools (nail guns, cutters, roofing shovels, etc.)Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditionsReliable transportation and a valid driver's licenseStrong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detailPositive attitude and ability to work as part of a teamPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling on rooftops and ladders.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time (bundles of shingles, roofing materials, etc.).Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and at varying roof heights and pitches.Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
