Overview
Advanced Practice Provider - Advanced Heart Failure - Piedmont Eastside Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Advanced Heart Failure team at Piedmont Eastside in Snellville, Georgia. This is a full time position working mainly 10‑hour shifts rotating between inpatient and outpatient management of patients with heart failure, LVAD and heart transplant. This is a great opportunity to be employed by one of the nation’s leading cardiology programs. You will work alongside some of the most respected and highly‑trained physicians. The Samsky Advanced Heart Failure Center is one of the top 10 national LVAD implanting centers, helping end‑stage heart failure patients maintain or improve organ function. Piedmont Heart Institute has one of only two heart transplant programs in Georgia.
Responsibilities
Assist in the evaluation and treatment of cardiology patients in an inpatient setting.
Independently manage patients with heart failure in the Samsky Advanced Heart Failure Center.
Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients as direct patient‑care services are delivered.
Work alongside physicians and other cardiology advanced practice providers in a collaborative team.
This position will largely function on an independent basis; ideal candidates will have experience with limited supervision and work well independently.

Qualifications
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited PA program and national board certification
or licensed as a nurse and approved to practice as an NP by the State of Georgia with national certification.
Experience
3‑5 years of acute care cardiology experience with strong advanced heart failure skill sets (transplant, LVAD care experience) preferred.
