Job description
Store PorterThis is not official job description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform. You could expect the position of store porter to include the following:Duties:Provide friendly and courteous service to customersRegular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.Maintain floors - consisting of scrubbing with appropriate pads and chemicals, stripping, polishing, and re-glossingOperation of scrub machine and buffing machineEmpty trash inside and outside the storeClean windowsClean break rooms, restrooms, and manager's officeFollow safety and sanitation proceduresPrepare linens for laundry pick-upChange light bulbsOther duties will be assigned at the discretion of the store managementTraining will be provided at store level.Physical Demands:BendingStoopingHandling cleaning chemicalsMust be able to lift up to 40 poundsWorking on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)Additional Requirements – Internal Candidates:Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.Schnucks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
