Job description
Machine Operator/Forklift-RecycleMachine Operator/Forklift-Recycle position available at a company in Hazelwood, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.Machine Operator/Forklift-Recycle Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Inspect plastic pallets for defects and determine appropriate rework or repair methods.Repair, rework, and refurbish defective plastic pallets to meet company quality standards.Break down damaged or unusable pallets for recycling or disposal.Operate a forklift to transport pallets, materials, and finished products throughout the department as needed.Load and unload materials using a forklift when required.Perform manual handling of pallets, including stacking, sorting, and organizing inventory.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Support recycling, housekeeping, and general production tasks within the rework department.Machine Operator/Forklift-Recycle Requirements:Previous forklift experience required.Manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience preferred.Ability to use basic hand tools and perform minor repairs.Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and productivity standards.Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.Frequently stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift.Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, and reach throughout the workday.Regularly grasp, handle, and manipulate plastic pallets and materials.Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment.About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
