Job description
1st and 2nd Shift CNC MachinistTinley Park, Illinois, United StatesPosition OverviewAs a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. You will primarily be working with vertical and horizontal milling machines but may also be required to work with other CNC machines as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, with a focus on vertical and horizontal milling, and a keen attention to detail.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal milling machines, to produce parts according to specificationsRead and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining operationsSelect and load appropriate materials into the machineMonitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiencyInspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet required specificationsTroubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the machining processMaintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocolsCollaborate with team members and communicate any issues or concerns to the supervisorQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, with a focus on vertical and horizontal millingProficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprintsExperience with CNC programming and G-codeStrong understanding of machining principles and techniquesFamiliarity with precision measuring tools and equipmentAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to work 2nd shift hoursWe OfferCompetitive salary based on experienceComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planPaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for growth and advancement within the companyIf you are a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in vertical and horizontal milling looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity, we encourage you to apply for this position.
