Job description
Job Title: Production Technician I
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Location: Springdale, Ohio
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Production Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role plays a key part in the food production process, operating equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a clean and secure work environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, and committed to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate production equipment according to detailed Work Instructions and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
* Conduct lab sampling and basic testing to ensure product quality and compliance with food safety standards.
* Maintain biosecurity protocols and production security procedures at all times.
* Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to meet daily output goals and deadlines.
* Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and yard spotters to move and stage raw materials and finished products.
* Keep work areas clean and sanitized; perform regular sanitation of equipment as required.
* Record and maintain accurate production data and documentation.
* Support team members and adapt to different production tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
* Ability to work in a food manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Flexibility to work either day or night shift.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Basic knowledge of laboratory testing and production documentation.
* Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, bending, stooping).
Preferred:
* Prior experience in the food processing or manufacturing industry.
* Familiarity with forklift operation and other warehouse or production equipment.
Language:
* Ability to speak and write English at a basic level is a plus.
Tools & Equipment Used:
* Forklifts, yard spotters, conveyors, and other manufacturing equipment.
* Standard office equipment including computers, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
* Work may be performed in hot, cold, dusty, or humid conditions depending on the season.
* Requires physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to work around machinery and cleaning agents.
* Must be mentally adaptable and capable of following complex instructions in a variety of situations.
