Job description
Experienced Combo Fitters/Welders WantedVenture Dynamics is seeking experienced combo fitters/welders. Welders must be able to weld 2" carbon steel plate and pass the 3-position welding test. This will be shop work located Norfolk or Hampton, VA. Pay scale: hourly rates of $19 to $36 per hour.Key Responsibilities:Read and interpret blueprints: Understand technical drawings, specifications, and weld symbols to ensure accurate assembly and fit-up.Material preparation: Clean, grind, and prepare metal components and joints using tools and the appropriate welding procedures.Perform welding: Execute various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, stick (SMAW), and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), to join structural components and piping systems.All-position welding: Skillfully weld in all positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead.Equipment setup and operation: Set up and operate manual and automatic welding equipment.Safety procedures: Adhere to all safety protocols, which includes identifying risks, completing job safety analyses (JSAs), and working safely in various environments.
