Job TitleThis role supports TotalEnergies Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc. – Port Arthur Refinery and is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of rotating equipment in a petrochemical/refinery environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair rotating equipment, including:Centrifugal and reciprocating pumpsAll types of compressorsSteam turbinesDiaphragm pumpsUnit fans (fin fans and cooling towers)Gearboxes, mixers, chain-drive units, and mechanical sealsPerform preventive and corrective maintenance activitiesResearch materials and equipment needed to complete job assignmentsComplete job documentation, reports, and project modificationsWork with vendors and contractors to support maintenance and repair activitiesFollow all safe work practices and refinery proceduresPerform work requiring climbing, lifting, and manual laborSupport equipment reliability through inspections and troubleshootingWhat You BringBasic math and mechanical principlesLubrication systems and fluidsBearings, seals, gaskets, metallurgy, piping, rigging, balancing, torquing, couplings, and fastenersAlignment techniques (laser and reverse dial)Use of hand tools, burning torch, and precision equipmentExperience with:Centrifugal and reciprocating pumps and compressorsTurbines, gearboxes, fans, blowers, mixers, electric motors, and chain drivesProficiency with shop equipment such as:Lathe, drill press, key seater, balancing machine, and hydraulic pressUnderstanding of refinery or industrial processesExperience using Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and SAPStrong mechanical troubleshooting skillsStable work history and dependable attendanceWillingness to work overtime and respond to call-outs as neededTeam-oriented with strong communication skillsComputer literate with the ability to complete electronic documentationAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematicsPhysically capable of climbing and lifting as requiredCandidate ProfileHigh School Diploma with 5+ years of experience in petrochemical or comparable industrial environments as a machinist, millwright, or mechanic ORTwo-year Industrial Mechanics degree (or equivalent) with 2+ years of relevant mechanical experienceInformations supplémentairesQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to protected characteristics, including disability and protected veteran status.More about the Port Arthur:Located in Texas near the Gulf of Mexico, Port Arthur is one of TotalEnergies' biggest refining and petrochemicals platforms, employing nearly 650 TotalEnergies employees.
