Job description
1st Shift CNC Programmer / MachinistThis role focuses on programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes and mills to produce precision parts in a clean manufacturing environment. You will determine dimensions and tolerances, program both G&M code and conversational controllers, and ensure all parts meet strict specifications while maintaining efficient and safe machine operation.ResponsibilitiesDetermine dimensions and tolerances required for each part and apply them accurately during machining.Measure parts using appropriate tools to detect defects and verify conformance to specifications.Fully program CNC lathes and mills using both G&M code and conversational controllers.Adjust CNC equipment and process parameters to achieve required outputs and maintain part quality.Monitor tool wear during machine operation and replace tools as necessary to maintain precision and efficiency.Essential SkillsMinimum 5 years of experience programming CNC lathes or mills.Minimum 5 years of experience programming G&M code.Minimum 5 years of experience programming conversational controllers.Strong knowledge and experience across CNC machine tools, including Swiss lathes.Additional Skills & QualificationsSecondary training from a technical school is preferred.Experience working with both CNC lathes and mills in a production environment.Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality precision parts.Strong problem-solving skills to adjust processes and resolve machining issues.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clinton, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
