Core Operator: Montgomery, IllinoisOur customer in Montgomery, Illinois is seeking dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join their team. We're recruiting Core Operators to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Core Operator, you will play a key role in the foundry process by operating large scale bench machines to produce metal parts, this is a great opportunity for you if you like hands on work!Responsibilities of the Core Operator:Operate core-making machines and related equipment to produce cores used in metal casting.Prepare molds and ensure proper mixtures are used.Inspect finished cores for defects and ensure they meet specifications.Maintain and clean core machines and work area.Follow detailed work instructions and safety guidelines.Record production data and report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues.Work independently and as part of a team to meet daily production goals.Handle and transport cores carefully to avoid damage.Core Operator Requirements and Qualifications:Previous foundry or manufacturing experience preferred but not required—training provided.Ability to work in a hot, dusty environment with varying smells.Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and stand for long periods.Must be detail-oriented and safety-conscious.Must wear steel-toed boots/shoes and long sleeve cotton shirt.Reliable transportation and good attendance required.Pay for Core Operator: $19 per hourCore Operator Benefits:Health insurance.Dental insurance.Vision insurance.Life insurance.401(k).401(k) matching.Paid time off.Paid weekly.Direct deposit.Type: 1st Shift, Full-time. Schedule: Monday – Friday from 6AM – 2:30PM. May work 3 out of 4 Saturdays.
