Job description
ElectricianPosition Summary: The Electrician makes necessary repairs and adjustments to production equipment, installs and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment in an efficient and safe manner.Position Responsibilities:Plans installations to minimize wasteProvides access for future maintenance; meets all specifications and electrical codesMeasures, cuts, bends, threads, and installs electrical conduitPulls wiring through conduit and connects to distribution panels, lighting fixtures and power equipmentInstalls control and distribution apparatus such as switches; relays and circuit breaker panelsObserves installed equipment to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation and/or replacementRepairs faulty equipment and systems, including repairing of circuit boards (DC drivers)Maintains good housekeeping in work areaFollows all safety procedures and policies and advises supervisor of any unsafe conditionsAny other duties requested by supervisorRole Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:Proficiency in the use of electrical meters, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hacksaws, pipe threaders, conduit benders and soldering ironsMust have experience in the installation and use of electrical wire, conduit, relays, fuses, DC drivers, AC drives, terminals, stripes, resistors, diodes, circuit boards, and blueprints5 years' experience in the electrical/electronic field with license/certificationTime management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasksExcellent communication skillsStrong team playerCommitment to company valuesEmployee must use prescribed safety equipment & supply own hand toolsEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
