Machine Maintenance TechnicianExpress Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Machine Maintenance Technician in Lenexa, KS. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industrial maintenance professional with hands-on experience repairing injection molding or extruder compounding machinery.Position DetailsJob Title: Machine Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Lenexa, KSPay: $29.00–$30.00/hourInitial Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PMLong-Term Schedule: Transition to a 12-hour rotating shift after initial trainingEmployment Type: Full-TimeWork Environment: Industrial manufacturing facilityJob DutiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain injection molding and extruder compounding machinery.Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.Diagnose mechanical issues and make necessary repairs to minimize equipment downtime.Troubleshoot electrical systems and industrial equipment.Assist with PLC troubleshooting and controls-related maintenance.Work with vacuum systems and related equipment.Inspect machinery and equipment to identify potential maintenance issues.Follow established safety procedures and maintenance protocols.Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment issues.Work safely at heights when performing maintenance or repairs.Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to keep equipment operating efficiently.RequirementsExperience repairing injection molding or extruder compounding machinery is highly preferred and is the top qualification for this position.Previous industrial manufacturing maintenance experience required.Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.Ability to troubleshoot and work with electrical systems.PLC experience is a plus.Experience with vacuum systems is a plus.Comfortable working at heights.Ability to communicate effectively in English.Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to safety and detail.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have hands-on industrial maintenance experience and a strong background troubleshooting injection molding or extruder compounding equipment. Candidates who also have experience with electrical systems, PLCs, and vacuum systems will be especially well-suited for this opportunity.Schedule & TrainingThe selected candidate will initially work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM for the first few weeks to become familiar with the facility, equipment, and processes.After the initial training period, the position will transition to a 12-hour rotating shift based on operational needs.
