We are a custom injection molding company known for producing high-quality products that meet the needs of our customers.This position is responsible for completing first article inspections on new products, transfer parts, existing parts with material or process changes. The Quality Layout Technician is also responsible for assisting with creating quality processes and procedures as well as programs for the CMM.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Create bubbled prints and FAIR FormsDetermine inspection methods to be used to measure partsCreate Vertex Programs if neededPerform first article inspections annual layoutsConstruct / obtain gages and fixturesPerform process capability studiesPerform gage R & R studiesHelp aid in the creation of FMEA, control plan, and flow chartsCreate limit / workmanship standardsEmployee training of inspection methodsCreate work instructions for difficult measurementsRecommend needed inspection guide changesReview current inspection methods and process capabilitiesBe available for gage calibration back-upPerform annual layouts and gage R & R studies if requiredMaintain SPC software / dataHigh School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
