At Sauder Manufacturing, how do we do our work----new technology, new products and new ideas----changes constantly---but our values----how we treat our customers, suppliers and each other----never change.SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 7 AM to 3 PMPosition Summary:Upholstery Associate II will apply fabric and foam to seating and lounge furniture for the Worship, Education, Healthcare and Human Services Markets.Location Specific Details:Archbold :Ability to read and comprehend work ordersCutting pew and chair fabricOperate radial arm and chop sawsReading and interpreting measurementsPosition Requirements:Must be detail-orientedRegular lifting and maneuvering and positioning of product up to 40 lbs.Operate various upholstery machines Presses, stretchers, staple gun, screw guns, and power shearsOperate handheld pneumatic staple gunsOperate industrial sewing machineRequires reaching, pulling and stretching of fabric.Requires full shift of standing, walking, bending and liftingAble to read, write and follow instructions, both written and verbalAble to assist in training employees5-S audits and daily cleaningEnsures a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)Experience and Knowledge Required:High school diploma or GED preferredPrevious Manufacturing Experience preferredPrevious Upholstery Experience requiredKey Attributes Required:A self-starting, goal-oriented, customer-focused individual who takes personal accountability and acts in accordance with the Company's ValuesPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
