Job description

Tool & Die Tech IIIAs a Tool & Die Tech III in the Production department your goal is to maintain, troubleshoot and repairs dies, die components, and tooling used in the production process.You can expect to:Adhere to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethicsMaintain stamping dies of all types, die components and production tooling, and learn troubleshooting dies in the pressAdjust dies and tooling componentsMaintain production toolingCommunicate effectively with operators, set-up personnel, and supervisors on all three shifts regarding tooling requirements, and die and equipment statusMaintain housekeeping and 5S in the work areaInterpret complex detail and component drawingsBegin troubleshooting dies in the pressUse manual and CNC equipment and tool room machinery regularlyWork often in production areas outside of the Tool Room to troubleshoot dies and tooling in pressesComply with safety and work rules for the area they are working in, and follow all required safety practicesYou will do this by:Maintaining stamping dies of all types, die components and production tooling, and troubleshooting dies in the pressInstalling and adjusting die and tooling components as necessaryInterpreting complex detail and component drawingsProducing parts to print tolerancesMaintaining production tooling within quality standardsCommunicating effectively with operators, set-up personnel, and supervisors on all three shifts regarding tooling requirements, and die and equipment statusYou are the kind of person who is:A positive team playerIndependent and resourcefulA great problem solverA solid communicator both verbally and in writingA multi-tasker who can prioritize and meet deadlinesRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentState-indentured Tool & Die Maker Apprenticeship or a minimum of 5 years' experience with die construction and repair; including stamping die experienceFamiliarity with stamping dies of all typesProficient with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawingsProficient understanding of modern punch press principles.Proficient mathematical knowledge with whole numbers, decimal, geometric functions and trigonometry calculationsMust have own toolsPreferred Qualifications:CNC experiencePhysical | Visual Demands:Ability to stand for long periods of time if neededAbility to sit, stand, squat, bendAbility to reach overhead with one or both armsAbility to occasionally lift up to 40 poundsAbility to occasionally push/pull up to 75 poundsClose, Distant and Peripheral visionWork Environment:Manufacturing: Loud (Examples: metal can, manufacturing department, large earth moving equipment)Work Location: 1040 S 12th Street Watertown, WI 53094Shift Hours: Monday- Friday 6am to 2pm with overtime on SaturdaysBenefits Package:Health, Dental and Vision InsuranceCompany Paid Short & Long Term Disability InsuranceLife InsuranceCritical Illness InsurancePrescription Drug Benefits401(k) Retirement Savings Plan10 Paid Holidays96 hours of Paid Time Off minimum to startFSA (Health and/or Dependent Flexible Spending Account)Eligibility to participate in the one Fisher Barton Bonus ProgramAnd more!Who we are:At Fisher Barton, we combine years of experience across multiple industries to deliver unparalleled innovation.
