Job description
Welder PositionWe're hiring a welder to weld, cut, form, and assemble metal components based on blueprints and job specs. This role is hands-on and focused on producing high-quality work in a modern, well-maintained facility.What You'll DoMIG weldingRead blueprints and job specs to set up machines and plan workMeasure and inspect parts to ensure accuracy and qualityPerform cutting, forming, fitting, and assembly of metal componentsIdentify defects or machine issues and make corrections as neededPerform minor machine maintenance (oil, basic upkeep)Clean and prep materials (remove burrs, rust, edges, etc.)Follow safety and quality standards at all timesWhat We're Looking For2+ years of welding, fabrication or related experience (or relevant schooling)Strong blueprint reading abilityExperience with fabrication equipment and CNC machinesComfortable with measurements (standard & metric)Strong attention to detail and qualityAble to work independently and on a teamWhy ApplyClean, climate-controlled facilityNewer shop with updated equipmentClear growth and pay progressionTeam-focused environment with steady productionWork Environment & Schedule1st Shift, 2nd Shift and 3rd ShiftDaily overtime (about 1 hour per shift)Every other Saturday requiredModern, spacious fabrication shopAccess to lockers, break areas, and onsite food optionsJob Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Merrillville, IN.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
