1st- WelderWelder/Fitter Location: Fort Wayne, IN Pay: $18.00–$20.00+ per hour (Based on experience) Schedule Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Overtime opportunities are frequently available on FridaysPosition Summary: We are seeking experienced Welders/Fitters to join our growing fabrication team. This position is ideal for candidates with previous industrial fabrication experience who take pride in producing quality work while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Successful candidates will have strong MIG welding skills, the ability to read blueprints, and experience fitting and assembling fabricated components.Essential Responsibilities:Perform high-quality MIG welding on steel components.Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.Layout, fit, and assemble fabricated parts according to specifications.Verify material lengths, dimensions, and hole locations prior to fabrication.Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials safely.Handle raw materials and fabricated components throughout production.Use grinders to prepare and finish welds.Operate oxy-fuel cutting torches safely and effectively.Maintain quality standards while meeting production deadlines.Follow all company safety policies and procedures.Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure production goals are met.Preferred Experience: Experience with the following is highly desired:MIG WeldingArc WeldingTIG WeldingPlasma CuttingPress BrakesShearsRolling EquipmentIndustrial FabricationMaterial HandlingCrane OperationForklift OperationQualifications: Previous experience in an industrial fabrication environment required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Strong understanding of basic measurements and layout. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High School Diploma or GED preferred.Physical Requirements: Lift up to 75 pounds. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and varying weather conditions. Ability to climb ladders and stairs. Comfortable working at heights. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical work throughout the shift.Work Attire: Steel-toe boots required. Jeans and T-shirt are acceptable work attire. Hearing and eye protection are required.
