Description:
Emergency department with combined emergency medicine and urgent care.
Looking for a locum with availability starting in December.
Shifts available: 10-20 shifts per month.
Greatest need is for night shift (6 PM - 6 AM).
Specific open dates needing coverage include:
- 12/20: 6 AM - 6 PM
- 12/22-23: 6 PM - 6 AM
- 12/22-23: 6 AM - 6 PM
- 12/27-28: 6 AM - 6 PM
- 12/27-30: 6 PM - 6 AM
- 1/8: 6 PM - 6 AM
- 1/9-1/11: 10 AM - 10 PM
- 1/11: 6 PM - 6 AM
- 1/17-1/27: 6 PM - 6 AM
- 1/23-1/24: 10 AM - 10 PM
- 1/24: 6 AM - 6 PM
Physicians cover variable shifts: 6 AM - 6 PM, 6 PM - 6 AM, and 10 AM - 10 PM.
The locum will typically be scheduled for a 12-hour shift.
Additional coverage information includes support for various medical needs.
Very few conditions are transferred out, but may include significant burns and pediatric patients requiring specialized care.
Physician expected to perform procedural sedation, manage airways, and perform central lines.
Ultrasound-guided vascular access is common, with multiple staff trained.
Important information regarding emergency response teams and responsibilities in trauma cases.
Provider must utilize real-time mobile time clock.
Patient encounters per shift range between 100-180 over 24 hours.
Facility includes a level 2 trauma designation and level 3 pediatric services.
Support services are available 24 hours, including various surgical and radiological services.
Newborn deliveries are received in the emergency department, and there is a labor and delivery department.
