Project Assistant – Summer InternshipKLH Engineers is seeking a Project Assistant in our Pittsburgh PA office for a summer internship opportunity. This position is designed for a college student interested in gaining hands-on experience in the civil and environmental engineering industry, particularly in water, wastewater, stormwater, and municipal engineering. This internship provides an opportunity to see how engineering projects move from concept to completion. You'll gain exposure to real municipal and infrastructure projects while developing practical skills that can help prepare you for a career in civil or environmental engineering. The Project Assistant will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers, contribute to ongoing projects, and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact to real projects in the communities we serve.ResponsibilitiesAssist engineers and project managers with active water, wastewater, stormwater, and municipal engineering projectsAssist with project research, data collection, and organizationSupport engineers with project documentation, reports, and technical materialsAssist with fieldwork and site visits as neededHelp review and organize project information and recordsAssist with the preparation of plans, specifications, and other project materialsParticipate in project meetings and gain exposure to client and municipal interactionsPerform other project-related tasks as assignedLearn and apply engineering principles, standards, and industry practicesQualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related fieldCompleted at least one year of college courseworkStrong communication and organizational skillsDetail-oriented with a willingness to learnAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency with Microsoft OfficePrevious CAD experience is a plusValid driver's license and reliable transportationKLH Engineers has been serving municipal and private clients since 1982.
