Job description
Fifth Grade Teacher
Romeo Community Schools is seeking a Fifth Grade Teacher for Amanda Moore Elementary. The position will start in the school year and is governed by the REA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The Teacher will report to the Building Principal and will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lessons to all students in the class. The Teacher will also be responsible for teaching according to the educational needs, abilities, and achievement of individual students and groups of students, implementing diversity and inclusion in the classroom, and ensuring high standards of professional practice and quality of teaching and learning.
A Bachelor's or higher degree and a valid Michigan teacher's certificate with necessary endorsement(s) are required. Applicants must also pass a criminal background check as defined by the State of Michigan.
The position requires the individual to sometimes work irregular or extended work hours and meet multiple demands from several people. The employee is exposed to infections at a greater risk than the average person and is frequently required to interact with the public and other staff.
