Position Overview
Salary range: A reasonable estimate for this position is $96,700 - $257,100 annually and $46.32-$123.14 hourly. {See Table - Professional Research Series - Represented - Fiscal Year - Exempt and Non-Exempt}

Position Description
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the UC Irvine School of Medicine anticipates occasional openings and invites highly qualified applications in the Researcher Series at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Researcher rank.
Applications are being sought from candidates who have earned Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. or its foreign equivalent. Proven track record in independent and collaborative research. Experience in grant writing and submission, preferably with knowledge of NIH grant applications. Strong communication skills and ability to mentor and train diverse research teams. Demonstrated publication record in reputable scientific journals.
Positions are dependent on extramural funding. Researcher series positions are occasionally available throughout the year in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.
Qualifications
A doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.D. or M.D./Ph.D) or the foreign equivalent is required.
