Job description
2nd Shift AssemblyThis role involves working in a climate-controlled remanufacturing facility that refurbishes transmissions, engines, and other automotive parts. You will clean, disassemble, inspect, reassemble, and test components using hand and power tools while maintaining a clean and organized work area. The position requires consistent attendance, the ability to work a 10-hour 2nd shift schedule with mandatory overtime, and a willingness to perform hands-on, sometimes dirty or greasy tasks in a production environment.ResponsibilitiesClean, disassemble, and inspect transmissions and other automotive parts according to established procedures.Reassemble transmissions and other components using hand tools and power tools, following specifications and instructions.Test transmissions and perform final inspections to ensure proper function and quality standards are met.Use measuring tools accurately and apply basic math skills to verify dimensions and tolerances.Maintain a clean and organized work area, including general cleaning and housekeeping tasks.Handle parts and materials that may be dirty, greasy, or oily as part of daily duties.Support general labor and warehouse-related activities as needed within the production area.Follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures while using tools and equipment.Work a 10-hour shift, including mandatory overtime and Saturdays as required, to meet production demands.Stand for extended periods and lift parts and components throughout the shift.Essential SkillsAbility to work a 10-hour 2nd shift schedule multiple days per week, plus Saturdays as required.Above-average job tenure in previous roles, demonstrating reliability and commitment.Reliable transportation to consistently arrive on time for all scheduled shifts.Ability to stand for 10 hours a day, excluding breaks and lunch.Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.Basic math skills to support the use of measuring tools and accurate assembly.Comfort using hand tools and power tools for disassembly and reassembly tasks.Willingness to work mandatory overtime as needed.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.The pay range for this position is $16.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
