Job description

Job TitleOperate continuous flow or vat-type equipment to process milk, cream, and other dairy products, following specified methods and formulas.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview all quality, food safety and product specificationsMonitor blending equipment according to the specifications of components and blend amountsControl valves, pumps, speed, and temperatures in accordance with industry standards for blendingAdhere to established testing procedures and provide required samples to the laboratoryAssemble and disassemble equipment for proper cleaning/sanitizing and operating per manufacturer instructionsObserve and test system operation, using gauges and instrumentsEngage in dismantling, assembling, and installing refrigeration equipmentMaintain communication with other departments, supervisor, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of productionEnsure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP'sUtilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processesReport any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediatelyMaintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issuesFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
