Job description

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Mill and Lathe OperatorInside the RoleComputer Numerical Control (CNC) Mill and Lathe Operator. The successful candidate will be required to set up and operate CNC machinery that automatically mills, punches, and drills metal parts. Primary tasks performed include operating HAAS, Cincinnati, Vertical Horizontal Lathes, machining small components, operating other CNC Machines as needed. Be a part of a world-class team who keep the world moving through the manufacturing of Heavy-Duty trucks.What You Drive at DTNAPerform physically demanding manufacturing duties including: repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work proceduresActively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughputUse of presses, bore machines, belt sanders, torque wrenches, small power tools, air tools, hoists in a safe and nondestructive manner and must be able train to read gauges for proper specifications.Operating HAAS, Cincinnati, Vertical Horizontal Lathes, machining small components, operating other CNC Machines as needed.CNC Certificate preferred.CNC certificate must be obtained within 6 months of acceptance if not currently holding a certification.Machining various components as needed.Load and unload parts into CNC machineryOperate to make parts to specifications and rateSet-up and read gaugesUse of surface tester computerSet-up and touch-offAbility to understand machine codes and adjustments as needed, diagnose quality issues,Operate torque wrenches, air tools, presses, gauges (manual, digital, auto), hoist, pressUse of pallet jack, hoist, other PIV equipmentProperly identify component parts by learning identification numbersAdhere to established work rotation planComplete training matrix for each rotation positionAbility to read and understand Work Station InstructionsOther tasks and/or duties as assignedUse computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copyKnowledge You Should BringMust be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power toolsMust be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds. (with assistance from a team member or use of hoist)Must maintain a clean work area.Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measuresCross train on other jobs as requiredAbility to operate riveting, torquing, hand tools and small power tools in a safe and nondestructive manner.Read and understand Work Station Instruction documentationAbility to collaborate with a team and work independentlyAbility to work overtime when necessaryEstablished satisfactory attendance record and performance ratingExceptional Candidates Might HavePrevious experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environmentPrevious mechanical experienceCurrently holds CNC CertificateHigh School Diploma / GED preferred and furtherWhere We WorkThis position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)-Byesville, OH US.
