2ND SHIFT POSITIONWe are seeking a CNC Operator or Machinist capable of operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes. This role is responsible for producing precision components in accordance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules.The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of machining processes, can work independently, and demonstrates a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.If you enjoy working on short run jobs on a variety of projects, in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, please apply to join our team!Duties and Responsibilities include:Set up, operate, and adjust CNC milling and turning machinesInterpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirementsSelect and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materialsPerform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)Edit offsets and make minor program adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiencyTroubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvementsMaintain adherence to ISO 9001 quality standards and internal work instructionsComplete required documentation and inspection recordsEnsure proper care and maintenance of machines and work area (5S standards)Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirementsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:CNC Machining experience.Ability to read blueprints and use measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers and hand gauges.Must be able to read and comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including the ability to understand detailed safety rules, operating and warning instructions, procedure manuals and product label identification.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and willingness to undergo a physical examination as necessary.Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.Good To Have:Mazak programming, G-Code, GD&T experienceLean manufacturing principlesQuality inspection experienceManual machiningTroubleshooting CNC machinesERP Software knowledgeWhy work for us?Working at ISM is more than just a job.
