Die MakerMechanically inclined and enjoy building, troubleshooting, and working with precision? Turn those skills into a specialized career at Quad.Quad is hiring a Die Maker to support our specialty packaging operation. In this hands-on role, you'll build and maintain the tooling used to produce folding cartons, corrugated packaging, labels, inserts, and other printed products.You'll work with structural designers and manufacturing teams to create accurate, high-quality dies that keep production running efficiently.Schedule: This is a long-term 2nd-shift position. Training will take place on 1st shift before transitioning to your regular 2nd-shift schedule.Job Type: Full-time, hourlyWhat You'll DoBuild die boards using the Gerber ProfileOperate the rule bender to produce finished diesRubber and pre-press dies for productionBuild new dies and modify existing toolingVerify tooling dimensions and specifications for accuracyTroubleshoot tooling issues and support production needsMaintain die inventory, records, and revision documentationKeep dies and tooling organized and production-readySupport continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivityWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to understand measurements, specifications, and manufacturing instructionsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to read, write, and understand English to follow job instructions, safety procedures, and production documentationEffective communication and teamwork skillsBasic computer skillsAbility to train on 1st shift and transition to a long-term 2nd-shift schedulePreferred: One or more years of experience working with die cutters or making die-cutting dies.
