nnnStarting salary of $30.00-$32.00 per hour with shift differential $3.00 per hour

nThe hours and location you’ll work in as a Diesel Mechanic with WM:
nnnMonday – Friday every week
n
nn2 nd Shift MTW start time 2:00pm and TH & F start time 12:00pm

nnEvery 3 rd Saturday

nnThe normal setting for this job is a repair / maintenance shop at our Temple, TX hauling site.

n nThose are the key details on pay and schedule – now here’s more on what you’ll be doing as a Diesel Mechanic at WM.
nEach day you’ll fix the trucks and equipment that service over 20 million customers across the USA. As a Diesel Mechanic you can take pride in watching a truck roll out of the shop, knowing your local community will be supported by your hard work. Our mechanics take their careers to the next level by working on equipment that requires a high level of skill – and determination. You’ll be using modern tools and procedures to deliver exceptional maintenance on both diesel equipment and, at some locations, on our growing fleet of CNG trucks.
nHere’s more of what you’ll do:
nnnInspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
n
nnEstimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
n
nnPerform your work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
n
nnRespond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
n
nnSafety checks on vehicles – the safety of every single employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority
n
nnComplete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
n
nnAssisting senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
n
nnReviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
n
nnMaintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
n
n nWhat do you need to be considered for the role of Diesel Mechanic:
nnn2 years of relevant work experience
n
nnA valid drivers license, with a clean driving record
n
nnBe over 18 years of age.
n
nnLegally eligible to work in the United States
n
nnAbility to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

nnSuccessfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
