Job description
Gage Handle Machine OperatorAs a Gage Handle Machine Operator, in the Made to Order Value Stream, you will be trained and responsible for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC lathes, bar feed, facing and polishing equipment, as well as 3D printing equipment in the production of gage handles and accessories.Your job functions include:Producing quality handles, which meet established ASME B47.1 standard.Understanding of basic CNC programming to utilize existing programs for setting up production runs and making modifications as necessary.Monitoring part conformance based on work order instructions while adjusting manufacturing equipment accordingly to maintain production flow.Responsible for pulling and preparing aluminum bar stock for production.Responsible for wet belt sanding all handles and end caps.Will be required to inspect in-process products and final inspect for visual and dimensional criteria prior to and following the anodizing process.Perform packaging and administrative duties associated with preparation of products for shipping.Responsible for remaking and/or reworking products that do not meet required specifications.Responsible for maintaining quality production in accordance with company standards.Must maintain filtration system levels.Required to log out tooling and critical production supplies from tool crib.Will be required to input basic data entries using computer programs on daily basis.Perform other duties as required:The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.Required to adhere to:All company workplace policiesAll ergonomic standardsAll safety requirements inclusive of using authorized PPE's and LO/TO processesVermont Precision Tools, Inc. manufactures a broad range of high-quality precision ground pins, blanks and other tooling that is used to produce products to serve the medical, aerospace, automotive, defense, and many other markets.
