Production Worker (Open)Greif is a leading supplier of industrial packaging products and services, growing from its beginnings in Cleveland, Ohio, to a global footprint across more than 30 countries and 200-plus locations.Role Overview:Under direct supervision, performs entry-level routine activities associated with various types of assembly machine operation and/or setup.2nd Shift: 3:30pm-12amKey Responsibilities:An all-encompassing position operating assigned machinery and equipment in a safe and productive manner in accordance with Operational Standard Work and supervisor instructionsOperate equipment associated with producing units, and operate material handling equipmentFollows all applicable safety policies and practices, including but not limited to, use of all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ensuring machine guards and safety features are working, and promoting good safety practicesLoad and unload raw good and/or finished productsVisual inspection of product to ensure qualityResponsible for housekeeping and general maintenance functions within work areaPerforms 5S and TPM functions within work areaEducation and Experience: A high school diploma or GED is preferred. 3+ year manufacturing production experience preferred.Knowledge and Skills:Requires continuous standing and frequent lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, pulling/pushing, twisting of the trunk and neck, reaching and grasping/squeezing.Occasional climbing/balancing.Must be willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.Able to lift 50lbs consistentlyAt Greif, your work has purpose, colleagues care about your well-being, and you have the opportunity to grow and thrive.
