Join us and receive leadership, skill-building, and personal development training.As a Torch Supervisor, you will safely direct the activities of the 2nd shift Torch Assembly department and make sure production schedules and quality standards are met. This position is responsible for the safety and administration of company policies to all 2nd shift production employees. The Supervisor assists in the hiring process, succession planning, and workforce planning. An organized, self-motivated, problem solver that utilizes a strong work ethic for a 350+ union facility in Chilton, WI is required.ResponsibilitiesAbility to work in a team environment focusing on meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standardsEnsure raw material availability, material flow, inventory accuracyUpdate and maintain production control boards, cycle times, and moreProvide recognition, positive feedback, coaching and opportunities for improvement to employeesIdentify process and safety improvements and develop action plans for those improvementsAssist in recruiting, hiring, and employee onboarding and trainingReport out on performance and attend Level Up meetingsAdminister employee performance evaluationsComplete Process FEMAs and Safety FEMAsComplete Job Instructions (JIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Attend and participate in GEMBA walks and Transformation activitiesReview and approve employee time records, vacation, and payrollRegular communications with Human Resources on staffing needs, performance/attendance concerns and/or disciplinary issuesPerform these and other duties as assigned in the spirit of Our Philosophy and in accordance to safety, legal, ethical and contractual practicesDesired Experience, Critical Skills, Knowledge and AbilitiesStrong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to establish working relationships quicklyStrong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to drive resolutionComfortable performing a wide range of responsibilities, from thinking broadly to executing detailed tasksProven ability to effectively work in a detailed, fact-based environmentKnowledge of safety protocol such a lock out tag out, confined space and haz-comAbility to establish trust and a commitment to excellenceCustomer focused with the ability to function with a high sense of urgencyConfidence to make decisions and a strong commitment to team successStrong verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation, project and organizational skillsAbility to effectively communicate in a professional manner via formal written and oral means to all levels of managementStrong computer skillsOur Company is proud to have a dynamic and inclusive workforce where employees are empowered to innovate, thrive and grow.
