Job Posting: 31a At-Risk Paraprofessional (Semester Grant-Funded)
Location: Hastings High School
Hours: 6.75 hours per day
Starting Pay:$17.99
Job Description:
Hastings Area Schools is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to support at-risk students through the 31a program. This semester, a grant-funded position provides targeted academic and behavioral support to help students succeed in the classroom and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities Could Include:
• Work directly with at-risk students to support learning and engagement
• Assist classroom teachers with differentiated instruction and interventions
• Support positive behavior management and reinforce school expectations
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff
• Support small group or individual instruction as needed, assist with test reading
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies that promote student success
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college or education coursework preferred
• Experience working with students in an academic or support role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Duration: Semester (grant-funded)
Application Instructions:
Applicants will be assigned to a building based on district needs and must be willing to accept placement at any building. This position is guaranteed for one semester; continuation beyond that is dependent upon available funding.
