The Role

As an Automation Engineer, youll program, repair and maintain all automated machinery and auxiliary equipment, including:

All automated devices used for runner removal, part handling, separation or packing.

All machinery at the press or in the Assembly department used in secondary operations.

All auxiliary equipment.

What youll do:

Diagnose trouble, disassemble equipment and determine the extent of repairs needed.

Make repair parts and replace defective components.

Perform welding and sheet metal operations needed to repair equipment.

Operate lathe, vertical mill, drill press and grinders as required.

Occasionally direct an assigned helper.

Maintain a neat and orderly work area.

Follow safety rules and wear prescribed protective clothing or items.

What You Bring

~ Minimum 2-year technical degree in a related field.

~5 years of experience in a related discipline required.

~ Mechanical comprehension and a strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical applications and blueprints.

~ Programming knowledge of PLC systems such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.

~ Robotics experience, as well as experience with vision detection systems.

~ Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and strong general computer skills.
