3rd Shift Laser OperatorWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our 3rd shift team. This role begins earlier in the day to support first shift operations before transitioning to primary laser operation responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be flexible, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing high-quality parts in a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Operate CNC laser cutting equipment, ensuring accuracy and part qualitySet up and monitor machines based on job specifications and production requirementsRead and interpret blueprints, work orders, and job instructionsSet up and operate CNC PlasmaPerform quality checks using calipers, tape measures, and other toolsHandle and organize materials before and after cuttingClean, deburr, and prepare parts for the next production phaseFollow all safety guidelines and wear required PPEMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaPerform basic machine maintenance and report issues promptlyQualifications:Experience with CNC laser cutting preferredFamiliarity with fabrication equipment such as piranha ironworker, tube bender, and press brake is a plusAbility to read and understand blueprints and use standard measuring toolsStrong attention to detail and work ethicCapable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing throughout the shiftTeam-oriented with strong communication skillsWillingness to work overtime as neededEmbodies organizational core values (authentic, driven, humble, trustworthy)Physical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, lifting, and movementAbility to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and over 50 lbs with assistance frequently (team lift or mechanical aid)Work Environment:Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with temperatures that vary seasonallyMust wear required personal protective equipment in accordance with company safety policies, including company-provided safety glasses and employee-provided steel-toed footwear; additional PPE may be required based on job duties.Pre-Employment Requirements:Employment with Harper Industries is contingent upon successfully passing:Pre-employment background checkPre-employment drug screeningHarper Industries, Inc.
