Job description

Looking for an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Technician to join our Vernon, CA facility on 3rd shift (9:00 PM-5:00 AM)! This is a hands-on opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional who knows food manufacturing, can troubleshoot equipment independently, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Spanish-speaking ability and food manufacturing experience are required. Pay is $34-$39/hour.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production and facility equipment.

Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Maintain motors, sensors, VFDs, conveyors, gearboxes, and automated equipment.

Troubleshoot 3-phase electrical systems and PLC-controlled equipment .

Use multimeters, motor testers, PLC interfaces, and other diagnostic tools.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.

Document maintenance activities using CMMS systems such as UpKeep, SAP, or similar platforms.

Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.

Follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, OSHA, and all food safety procedures .

Support production and cross-functional teams to maintain equipment reliability and plant performance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training or associate degree preferred.

3+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience in food manufacturing required.

Spanish-speaking ability required.

strong knowledge of food safety practices, including GMP, HACCP, and SQF.
