Machine Maintenance ManagerThe purpose of this position is to direct, coordinate, monitor, and train associates within the Machine Maintenance Department on 3rd Shift. This person would report directly to the Senior Supervisor, and would be a direct mentor and manager to the Machine Maintenance team; this includes both hourly and salaried maintenance technicians. The ideal candidate would have a strong technical aptitude, and the leadership and supervisory skills needed to direct our Greenfield plant's Machine Maintenance department. This position is fully onsite at the Greenfield plant, and would require flexibility as some weekends and general overtime may be needed.Position Duties and Responsibilities:General Project ManagementDirect Continuous Improvement ActivitiesSupport/Control Department BudgetsDirect / Implement / Manage Preventative Maintenance ProgramsSupervise both salaried and hourly associatesAvailability to be "on call"Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):Technical related (Engineering, Maintenance, etc) work experience.Experience in leading a technical teamIntermediate proficiency in Windows, MSWord, and PowerPoint.Intermediate proficiency in Excel.Self-motivated IndividualPreferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):Previous supervisory experienceSkills and Abilities:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracyProven ability to:Promote and exemplify the "Astemo Philosophy" and "5 Joys" and maintain a clean and orderly work environment in accordance with "6S."Confer with and prepare reports for upper management and possibly other Astemo companiesControl department or corporate budgets and approve expendituresEnsure all local, state, and federal laws and regulations are complied with in functional areaConduct performance evaluations for subordinate personnel and provide support / training as neededProvide strong leadership to subordinate personnelInteract with various levels of associatesImprove manufacturing proficiency levels to meet plant goals and objectivesMaintain knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment within Technical Team.Coordinate and recommend cost savings and efficiency ideas for the facilityDemonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization as neededMaintain clean and orderly work environmentAnalyze technology, resource needs, market demand, and confer with all departments to assess the feasibility of projectsMake sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivatedRead and understand complex Mechanical & Electrical Drawings (using JIS standards)Supervisory Responsibilities:Will supervise both hourly and salaried associatesSoftware:Software requirements (CAD, Glovia, Excel, etc)Essential to Job Functions – Physical and/or Mental Restrictions:Ability to work for extended periods of time while sittingStanding, walking, and bending for the duration of the workdayAbility to lift and/or move up to twenty-five poundsVisual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screenFull motor skillsWork Environment – Travel, Noise, Smells, Quiet, Indoors or Outdoors, etc.:Open office settingFactory setting with noiseEquipment Used:Personal ComputerHand toolsMultimeter and other troubleshooting devicesEqual Opportunity Employer (EOE) – Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, identity, disability, protected veteran status and national origin.At Astemo, we're challenging the status quo with the power of diversity, inclusion, and collaboration.
