Heavy Equipment Operator4 on 4 off - 6:00 am to 6:00 pmPay Range: $27.17 and an underground differential of $0.40 an hourAre you someone who likes to work with others? Are you willing to operate machinery safely and see the success of an exciting industry?Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at the underground mine operations in Randolph, Missouri. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment within the plant.Essential FunctionsParticipate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel cultureInspect equipment for signs of wearPerform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipmentWork in a team environmentClean work areasManeuver trucks into loading or unloading positionsProper wear of personal protective equipmentNotify supervisors of needed repairsEnsure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirementsAssist in plant maintenance and repairsPerform duties with minimum supervisionPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.Preferred Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentValid US driver's license1 + year related experienceHeavy equipment operations or military experience preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to work with minimal supervisionKnowledge of MSHA regulationsEffective verbal communicationKnowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenancePhysical AbilitiesAbility to work in an outdoor environment year-roundGeneral physical activities including climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling materials.A member of the S&P 500 Index, Martin Marietta is an American-based company and a leading supplier of heavy building materials – including aggregates, cement, ready-mixed concrete and asphalt.
