5-Axis CNC ProgrammerDirect hire: An awesome opportunity for an experienced 5-Axis CNC Programmer to join a dynamic team in the Hebron, KY area. The successful candidate must be a highly skilled and detail-oriented 5-Axis CNC Programmer with strong aerospace manufacturing experience to develop, optimize, and maintain complex machining programs for precision components.Working Location: Hebron, KY. Pay: $80K - $90K (depending on experience) Shift: 1st shift, M - F (up to 10 hours per day) Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, PTOKey Responsibilities:Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for complex aerospace components using 5-axis machining in MastercamCreate and refine advanced multi-axis tool paths for intricate geometries and hard-to-machine materials commonly used in aerospaceProgram and support CNC lathes with live tooling for mill-turn aerospace applicationsAssist in set up, prove out, and validate programs on Makino machining centers and CNC lathesPerform simulation and verification using Vericut to ensure collision-free, efficient, and compliant machining processesInterpret aerospace technical drawings, CAD models, and GD&T with a high level of accuracySelect tooling, cutting strategies, and machining parameters optimized for aerospace materials and tolerancesTroubleshoot machining and programming issues to meet strict aerospace quality and repeatability standardsCollaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet customer and regulatory requirementsMaintain thorough program documentation, setup sheets, and revision control in accordance with aerospace standardsDrive continuous improvement in cycle times, tool life, and process reliabilityEnsure compliance with all safety, quality, and aerospace industry standardsRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or GED (Associate's or technical degree preferred)3+ years of CNC programming experience with a strong focus on aerospace manufacturing andProven experience programming complex 5-axis parts for aerospace applicationsProficiency in Mastercam (advanced multi-axis required)Experience with CNC program verification using VericutHands-on experience with high-performance machining centers, preferably MakinoExperience programming CNC lathes with live tooling (mill-turn)Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, Macro, and multi-axis machine kinematicsAdvanced ability to read and interpret aerospace drawings, CAD models, and GD&TDemonstrated experience holding tight tolerances and meeting strict quality standardsPreferred Qualifications:Experience working with aerospace materials (e.g., titanium, Inconel, aluminum alloys)Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and standards (e.g., AS9100)Experience optimizing programs for high-speed machining (HSM) environmentsUnderstanding of mill-turn processes and multi-tasking machinesKnowledge of lean manufacturing principlesExperience with post-processor tuning or customizationKey Skills:Advanced 5-axis programming and toolpath optimization in MastercamCNC lathe programming with live tooling (mill-turn capability)Proficiency in CNC simulation and verification using VericutStrong problem-solving and analytical ability in high-precision environmentsExceptional attention to detail and commitment to qualityMechanical aptitude with deep understanding of aerospace machining challengesEffective communication and collaboration skillsAbility to act as a positive "influencer" on the shop floor, promoting teamwork, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindsetWork Environment & Company Culture:Manufacturing/shop floor specializing in aerospace precision machining, utilizing high-end Makino machining centers and CNC lathesFast-paced, high-precision environment with strict quality and performance expectationsWe foster a culture built on:Problem Solving – Focus on solutions, not blamePeople First – Respect, teamwork, and supporting one anotherOwn It – Fix It – Take responsibility and act with urgencyContinuous Learning – Willingness to learn from others and stay open to new ideasMentorship – Actively share knowledge and support the development of othersExpected to be a team player and positive influence, helping drive accountability, engagement, and continuous improvementStanding for extended periods and working in a production environmentMay require overtime based on workload and deadlines
