Job description
Heavy Equipment OperatorRummel Construction is seeking a 631 Scraper Operator. You should have experience working on and understanding cut/fill, mass excavation projects, and have the ability to work safely at all times. This is a safety sensitive position that is responsible for operating heavy construction equipment with knowledge of hazards, safety precautions, awareness, and of cut/fill operations for a variety of projects.You'll be working with scores of experienced operators who put safety first and work together to meet the day's goals. We take pride in taking care of our equipment and making sure our employees are set up to be successful. We typically work Monday-Friday, though some project schedules may require Saturday work.Minimum Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience:Get off and on equipment using 3 points of contactConduct daily routine inspections on assigned equipment and report defects to supervisorsWalk safely on 2:1 slopes throughout the jobsiteWork safely in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet, etc.)Approx. 1+ years' experience in the construction industryExperience in earthmoving and heavy construction with knowledge of cut/fill operations from a variety of projectsMust be willing to travelWhy Work for Rummel?We offer an excellent work environment including a competitive salary, subsidized health insurance, paid-time off, paid holidays, 401k plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and voluntary dental and supplemental benefits.
