Job description
Summary
We are seeking a full-time Geography teacher for the 7th grade at Bethany Middle School. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and the ability to create an engaging and challenging learning environment for students.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and state standards.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth.
Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades.
Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues to ensure student success.
Participate in school-wide events and professional development opportunities.
Attend faculty meetings and collaborate with other teachers to improve instruction.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Valid teaching certification in Geography or Social Studies.
Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
Knowledge of current educational practices and technology.
Commitment to ongoing professional development
