Job description
Step into a rewarding contract position providing specialized 1:1 nursing care for students across elementary and high school grades. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by working closely with children and adolescents in a school setting near Atlanta, GA. The position calls for an experienced and compassionate RN ready to support students in 1st through 5th grades, as well as 9th and 10th graders, delivering personalized healthcare and building strong, supportive relationships.
Desired Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
Experience in pediatric and/or school nursing strongly preferred
Proven ability to deliver individualized 1:1 nursing care
Knowledge of common childhood and adolescent health concerns
Skilled in monitoring and supporting students with chronic or complex health needs
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers
Ability to document care and communicate effectively according to school protocols
Empathetic, adaptable, with strong organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 nursing care for assigned students, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day
Administer medications, perform health assessments, and monitor ongoing health conditions
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to support each student's individualized plan of care
Respond promptly to health emergencies or special needs situations
Maintain accurate documentation for each encounter and treatment provided
Promote a healthy school environment and educate students on wellness practices
