Job description
Experience a rewarding role supporting students from 5th through 9th grades as a School Social Worker in a contract position near Austin, TX. Qualifications and Experience:
Valid licensure as a School Social Worker
Previous experience working in a school-based setting, preferably with upper elementary or middle grades
Familiarity with the developmental needs of 5th through 9th-grade students
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, families, and administration
Proven skills in case management, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity in all interactions
Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students, individually and in small groups
Conduct needs assessments and develop actionable intervention plans
Collaborate with educators and families to create supportive environments
Support students' social-emotional growth and connect them with essential resources
Assist in crisis situations and participate in prevention efforts
Advocate for students' best interests within educational teams and community networks
Document services and progress according to school and state guidelines
