Automotive Technician | $80K-$120K | Mon-Fri 8-5
Locations: Rosemount, MN and Mendota Heights, MN
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Pay Type: Flat rate or hybrid, based on the agreed compensation structure
Pay Schedule: Twice monthly
Earning Potential: $80,000-$120,000 annually
Typical Flagged Hours: Target of at least 40 billed hours per week
If you like a mix of diagnostics and hands-on repair work, this could be a good fit. We’re looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join a small team where technicians work on a variety of vehicles and repairs.

About the Shop
The shop has a close-knit team with long-term employees who work together to keep jobs moving. You’ll handle diagnostics, electrical concerns, maintenance, and repairs across Domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. The heated and air-conditioned, three-bay shop has an alignment rack and a shop-provided Snap-on ZEUS+ scan tool. Estimates and parts ordering are handled outside the technician role, and a shop hand is typically available to support the team.
Pay & Benefits
Estimated earning potential of $80,000–$120,000 annually; actual earnings depend on the agreed pay plan and production
Flat-rate or hybrid compensation, based on the agreed pay plan
Anticipated flat-rate pay of $50–$60 per flagged hour, if a flat-rate plan is selected
Initial pay guarantee when starting, with terms negotiated as part of the pay plan
Medical insurance: employer pays 100% of the employee premium and 50% of dependent coverage
Dental insurance: employer pays 50% of the employee premium

What You’ll Do
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, and engine-performance concerns
Perform inspections, maintenance, and general repairs
Complete brake, undercarriage, exhaust, and timing belt work
Use Tekmetric for digital vehicle inspections
Work toward a target of at least 40 billed hours per week
What We’re Looking For
At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience
Intermediate to advanced diagnostic skills
Experience with electrical and drivability concerns and a broad range of general repairs
Personal tools needed to perform the work
Digital vehicle inspection experience is preferred, but training on the shop’s process is available. ASE certifications are a plus, but are not required.
