Neurological Surgery Physician – Locums
Location: Eureka, CA
Type: Locums
Job Quick Facts
Mon – Fri, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with day call included
Night call: 5:00 pm – 8:30 am weekdays; 24‑hour call on weekends
Guaranteed 8 hours per day
5 patients per shift
Inpatient and outpatient setting required
Adult patients only (no pediatric or neonatal patients)
Spinal surgery with and without instrumentation required
Placement of ICP monitors required
Responsibilities
Provide neurosurgical care to adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Perform spinal surgeries, ranging from non‑instrumented to instrumented procedures
Place and manage intracranial pressure monitors
Attend mandatory day calls and mandatory night calls as scheduled
Maintain daily patient load of approximately five patients per shift
