Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
Schedule: Monday-Friday; rotating Saturday approximately once every 3 weeks
Pay Rate: $60,000-$120,000 annual compensation range based on technician level
Pay Type: Hourly plus production bonus structure
Earning Potential: B-Level: $60,000-$90,000; A-Level: $80,000-$120,000
Typical Flagged Hours: 40-50 hours per week

About Far East Motors
Far East Motors is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join its team in Silver Spring, Maryland. The shop specializes in Honda, Acura, Toyota, and Lexus vehicles and has served the community for more than 30 years. This position offers $60,000-$120,000 in annual earning potential based on technician level, an hourly-plus-production pay structure, paid training, benefits, and a heated and air-conditioned shop . Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair drivability, electrical, mechanical, and general automotive concerns.
Perform factory-style maintenance, inspections, brake service, suspension repairs, tire service, and wheel alignments.
Diagnose electrical systems and complete appropriate electrical repairs.
Use Autel, AutoLogic, Snap-on, Matco, and Launch scan tools for automotive diagnostics.
Complete digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric and document vehicle findings accurately.
Prepare repair estimates based on inspection and diagnostic findings; parts ordering is handled separately.
Service primarily Honda, Acura, Toyota, and Lexus vehicles while working on additional Asian, domestic, and European vehicles as needed.
Work toward the shop's production expectation of approximately 75% of clocked hours.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of automotive repair experience for B-Level consideration or 6 years for A-Level consideration.
Intermediate diagnostic ability for B-Level work and intermediate-to-advanced diagnostic ability for A-Level work.
Experience with general repair, diagnostics, drivability, electrical systems, maintenance, and vehicle inspections.
Digital vehicle inspection experience is preferred; training is available.
ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
Ability to work Monday-Friday and participate in the rotating Saturday schedule.
Personal automotive tools arerequired.
Compensation & Benefits
B-Level Automotive Technician earning potential: $60,000-$90,000 annually.
A-Level Automotive Technician earning potential: $80,000-$120,000 annually.
Hourly base pay plus a production bonus structure.
Guarantee equal to 75% of clocked hours at the applicable base rate.
Medical, dental, and vision insurance with 30% of the employee's coverage paid by the employer; family coverage is available at the employee's cost.
401(k) with a 3% employer match after one year of employment.
PTO, which includes sick time.
Approximately five to six paid major holidays per year.
Paid training, including TechFix and Pronto online training, plus available in-shop training.
ASE reimbursement.
