nAre you fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and passionate about helping others succeed? Join Alora Behavioral Health as an ABA Behavior Technician and use your communication skills to support clients who use ASL.
nAs a Behavior Technician, you'll work one-on-one with clients to help them reach developmental milestones and improve their quality of life. We are looking for someone fluent in ASL who can communicate effectively with clients who use ASL while implementing individualized treatment plans under the guidance of a Supervisor/BCBA.

n nResponsibilities
nnDeliver direct ABA services under the direction of a Supervisor/BCBA.
nUse ASL to communicate effectively with clients during sessions and support communication goals as outlined in their treatment plans.
nCollect data on goals throughout each session as outlined in the treatment plan.
nWork in various settings, including home, community, school, clinic, or other assigned locations, with individuals with autism or related disabilities.
nAddress problem behaviors using positive behavior support techniques developed by a Supervisor/BCBA.
nAssist with caregiver support and training as needed.
nArrive on time for scheduled sessions and end sessions punctually.
nSubmit timecards and complete clinical notes for each session on time per company policy.
nCollaborate with Supervisors and BCBAs.
nFollow all ethical standards related to ABA service delivery and adhere to company policies and procedures.
nAssist with new hire training by providing overlaps and shadowing opportunities.
n nQualifications and Requirements
nnASL Fluency Required : Must be fluent in American Sign Language, with the ability to understand and communicate effectively in ASL during client sessions. Basic or introductory ASL knowledge is insufficient for this position.
nEducation : High school diploma/GED or equivalent. Current college enrollment or completion of some college coursework preferred.
nExperience : Minimum of 6 months of work experience or exposure to individuals with disabilities; direct job experience preferred but not required.
nAvailability : At least 15 hours available during afternoons and evenings. Sessions typically occur between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. but may vary.
nAge Requirement : Must be 18 years or older.
nTransportation : Must have a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance. Compensation is provided for travel time.
nOnboarding Requirements : Must successfully pass a criminal background check, TB testing, and a pre-employment Physical/Fit for Duty exam, and provide or obtain proof of immunity to MMR and Varicella.
