nAs a Behavior Technician, you will help shape the future of individuals by providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy and related services to individuals diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). You will enjoy creating and working in a fun, playful setting to help individuals close the gap by teaching the social, behavioral, and daily living skills they need to succeed. Sessions include the reward of working closely with parents and families of assigned clients, taking important data, and implementing protocols as trained by your supervisor.
nThis position works with children after school hours and/or weekends.
nResponsibilities
nProvide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, utilizing a combination of intensive staff and natural environment training arrangements.
nFollow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
nFollow and record data for prescribed protocols
nCollect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior after every session.
nEffectively communicate with the BCBA regarding client progress as instructed or any parental concerns.
nUtilize safe and appropriate procedures (Safety Care) when working with students.
nMaintain client confidentiality.
nAssist BCBA in preparing client materials as instructed.
nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment.
nCollaborate with teams including clinical meetings when appropriate.
nMaintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required training.
nExperience
nRequired: A valid driver’s license
nPreferred: Experience working with children aged 3-21 years providing 1:1 setting.
nEducation
nRequired: High School Diploma or equivalent
nPreferred: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, education, ABA, or related field.
