Local Team Collaboration: Join Canyon Vista Medical Center's close-knit team of eight physicians and five advanced practice providers (APPs). Work alongside a diverse group of clinicians who bring a variety of geographic, educational, and training backgrounds to our team. Teamwork is at the heart of our culture, with colleagues always ready to lend a hand during procedures or shift changes. Many team members actively participate in hospital committees, such as the medical executive committee, and lead initiatives to improve patient care and update order sets. We value work-life balance and provide regular opportunities for engagement and feedback through monthly remote and in-person meetings. Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools. Stable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts. Board-certified/eligible in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with 3 years of Emergency Medicine experience. Physician coverage 24 hrs a day (2, 12-hour shifts) plus 12-hour fellowship coverage a day.
Provide care in a smaller, community-based hospital with a level III trauma designation and a 24-bed Emergency Department. Manage a variety of emergency cases. Collaborate closely with Sound's hospital medicine team to ensure a seamless transition of care. Work within a multidisciplinary environment supported by 24/7 specialty coverage, including cardiology with a cath lab, general surgery, obstetrics, orthopedics with spine care, neurology (with telestroke support), psychiatry (with an on-site inpatient behavioral health unit), oncology, and nephrology with dialysis capabilities in the ICU. Due to nearby Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista has a significant military and veteran population. It is renowned for its friendly and welcoming community and is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.
